The words that decide whether outbound pays.

Short, precise definitions of the terms in every outbound contract and every agency pitch, with the number behind each one where we have it.

Booked meetingA sales call placed on the calendar with a prospect from outbound, with a time, a calendar invite and the right person. It is one step before a showed appointment and the unit most outbound agencies guarantee, which is why the definition and the no-show rate both matter.Booked qualified meetingA scheduled call between a client and a decision-maker at a company matching the agreed ideal client profile, sourced and arranged by the agency and booked through the agency's link into the client's calendar. It is the unit algoacquisition guarantees, 80 a quarter on Core and 800 on Scale.Booking rateThe share of interested leads that become booked meetings. In algoacquisition's campaigns it runs between 10% and 30% depending on the niche, with a blended 13.5% across all campaigns, and the top of the range belongs to campaigns where a human calls every interested lead inside five minutes.Connection acceptance rateThe share of LinkedIn connection requests that are accepted. Across 163,868 requests in algoacquisition's 2026 campaign data the average was 19.8%; campaigns with a single, tightly defined segment ran at 30–39%.Done-for-you outboundAn outbound sales service in which the vendor owns the work from list to calendar: sourcing, message, sending, reply handling, calling and booking. The term is widely used for services that cover only sourcing and sending, so the question to ask is which of the six jobs the vendor actually does.Guaranteed minimumA floor on the number of booked qualified meetings an outbound agency commits to delivering in a fixed period, written into the contract alongside the definition of a meeting and the client obligations that keep the guarantee valid.Interested leadA reply from a person at a company matching the agreed ICP that expresses intent to learn more, see pricing, receive information or book a call. Connection accepts, opens and polite declines do not count.Message-market fitThe point at which an outbound message reliably gets the right stranger to reply with interest. It is found by testing ICP, sourcing, front-end offer, angle and channel in order, and it is the asset a client keeps after any outbound engagement ends.Showed appointmentA sales meeting that was booked through outbound and actually took place, with the prospect present. It is the only outbound metric that directly produces revenue, and the one algoacquisition guarantees.Speed to leadThe time between a prospect's reply or enquiry and the first human response. Research compiled from eight major studies, including Harvard Business Review and MIT, found a response inside five minutes makes contact 100× more likely and qualification 21× more likely than an hour later.Trigger-based prospectingContacting prospects only when a live signal indicates the problem you solve is current, such as a new hire in the role you sell to, a fresh funding round, a job post for the function you replace, or a recent filing, rather than working through a static list.Virtual SDR seatAn ID-verified LinkedIn profile, with Sales Navigator, that an agency provides, brands and operates on a client's behalf for outbound, so that sending volume and account risk sit with the agency rather than on the client's own profile.Warm callingA phone call to a prospect who has already replied with interest to outbound, made while that interest is live, usually inside minutes of the reply. It is distinct from cold calling, where the prospect has had no prior contact.
