Showed appointment outbound glossary GLOSSARY

Definition. A sales meeting that was booked through outbound and actually took place, with the prospect present. It is the only outbound metric that directly produces revenue, and the one algoacquisition guarantees.

Why the word "showed" matters

Outbound agencies guarantee many things: messages sent, connection requests, "leads", booked meetings. Each is a step further from revenue than the last. A booked meeting that nobody attends costs the same as no meeting at all, which is why the show rate, and who carries it, is worth asking about before you sign.

In practice a showed appointment has three properties: it was booked with a person at a company matching the agreed ICP, it took place at the scheduled time (or a rescheduled one), and the prospect was present for the conversation. No-shows, "sorry, can we push this" with no new date, and calls with the wrong person do not count.

The number behind it

In algoacquisition's campaign data, between 10% and 30% of interested leads become booked meetings depending on the niche, and the show rate on those depends almost entirely on how the booking was handled: a human confirming the time and sending a calendar invite with context lifts the show rate materially over a bare calendar link.

How it is used in a contract

A guarantee can be expressed in showed appointments or in booked meetings; what matters is that the unit is defined and the conditions are written down. algoacquisition guarantees booked qualified meetings, a minimum of 80 across the quarter on Core and 800 on Scale, and works the no-show problem with confirmations, reminders and a human on the phone before the call. The buyer's guide to done-for-you LinkedIn outreach explains how to read any guarantee for its noun, its definition and its remedy.

  • Booked meeting — A sales call placed on the calendar with a prospect from outbound, with a time, a calendar invite and the right person. It is one step before a showed appointment and the unit most outbound agencies guarantee, which is why the definition and the no-show rate both matter.
  • Interested lead — A reply from a person at a company matching the agreed ICP that expresses intent to learn more, see pricing, receive information or book a call. Connection accepts, opens and polite declines do not count.
  • Booking rate — The share of interested leads that become booked meetings. In algoacquisition's campaigns it runs between 10% and 30% depending on the niche, with a blended 13.5% across all campaigns, and the top of the range belongs to campaigns where a human calls every interested lead inside five minutes.
