Definition. A phone call to a prospect who has already replied with interest to outbound, made while that interest is live, usually inside minutes of the reply. It is distinct from cold calling, where the prospect has had no prior contact.
Warm versus cold
Cold calling dials a list; the prospect has never heard of you. Warm calling dials a person who, minutes earlier, said "tell me more" on LinkedIn or email. The conversation starts from interest rather than interruption, the pickup rate is far higher, and the job of the call is to answer questions and land a time, not to pitch.
Why it works
A message can be read and forgotten. A voice inside the five-minute window captures attention and creates a reason to decide now. In algoacquisition's campaigns, warm calling 3×'d booking rates on top of the lift from fast reply handling. The callers are US-accent humans trained on the client's offer, not a script off the shelf.
Where it sits in the engine
Warm calling is the valve between an interested lead and a booked meeting. On the acquisition tap, shutting it off visibly thins the flow into the bucket; that is the honest picture of what happens when interested leads are worked by message alone.

- Speed to lead — The time between a prospect's reply or enquiry and the first human response. Research compiled from eight major studies, including Harvard Business Review and MIT, found a response inside five minutes makes contact 100× more likely and qualification 21× more likely than an hour later.
- Interested lead — A reply from a person at a company matching the agreed ICP that expresses intent to learn more, see pricing, receive information or book a call. Connection accepts, opens and polite declines do not count.
- Showed appointment — A sales meeting that was booked through outbound and actually took place, with the prospect present. It is the only outbound metric that directly produces revenue, and the one algoacquisition guarantees.
